The Yamazaki distillery (山崎蒸溜所) is located in Shimamoto, Osaka Prefecture, part of Suntory's storied whisky portfolio. Japanese whiskies are enjoying a renaissance, with aged Yamazaki in particular, subject to enthusiastic, and at times frenzied, buying.
The 2022 Limited Edition of Yamazaki continues the premium range's extensive use of Mizunara oak casks for aging, with an outturn of only 1000 bottles.
