The Springbank Distillery is one of the last remaining in Campbeltown, from its heyday of over 30 active distilleries producing quality whiskies in the 19th century. Located on the Kintyre Peninsula and drawing water from Crosshill Loch, Springbank is now owned by J & A Mitchell & Co. Springbank produces three core ranges, Springbank proper, which are usually medium peated; Longrow, a highly peated style, and Hazelburn, a triple-distilled, non-peated whisky.
The Longrow Red is a limited edition series of bottlings of Longrow aged specifically in red wine casks. The 2021 edition is a 15 year old aged in refill Pinot Noir barriques from winemaker Grant Taylor’s Valli vineyards in Central Otago, New Zealand. One of 9400 bottles.
