Glendronach Distillery was founded in 1826 by James Allardice and is located near Forgue, by Huntly, Aberdeenshire, part of the Highlands whisky district. In 1996 the distillery was mothballed but reopened again in 2001, with some crediting its current survival to Asian interests (particularly Taiwan) in its sherry cask-aged bottles. The distillery draws its water from the Dronac burn within the distillery grounds. It has its own floor maltings and two wash stills in addition to two spirit stills.
This 27 year old Glendronach matured in single Sherry butt #216 was distilled in 1992. Bottled exclusively for Bottle Paradise S.R.L., Italy. One of 534 bottles.
