Monymusk is the premium rum brand from the Clarendon distillery, now owned by National Rums of Jamaica (NRJ). Clarendon actually produces a large quantity of rum, of which only a small fraction is shipped for blending and ageing at the historic Innswood distillery (also owned by NRJ), whereupon the rums are christened Monymusk. Clarendon distillery started in 1949 with a single pot still produced by legendary Louisville, Kentucky coppersmiths, Vendome. Today it is joined by a second, larger pot still and a modern five-column still, both installed in 2009.
This bottle is a blend of two casks marked EMB, with an ester count of 427.2 gr/hpla. This release was produced by Velier especially for the Italian collector, Giuseppe Begnoni. One of only 442 bottles.
