Jean-Luc Pasquet (JLP) Cognac was started by Jean-Luc Pasquet and his wife, Marie Françoise, tending to their seven hectares of Grande Champagne vines for decades, and selling their first bottle under the brand in 1977. Their son, Jean, joined the company business and is now running it. JLP was one of the earliest in the region to achieve the ‘Agriculture Biologique’ designation, after they reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods in order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s. Today, JLP's philosophy is founded on a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves.

This set of Singapore-exclusive bottling, for "The Boys Who Love Their Wives and Fine Spirits", consists of:

1. Grande Champagne Lot 57, aged 64 years, ABV 42.3%.

2. Grande Champagne Lot 75, aged 46 years, ABV 53%.

Their label features 19th century Dutch East Indies artist Raden Saleh, who depicted fights of animals he saw at the Hague transplanted over the lush forests of Southeast Asia in all their natural brutality. Saleh's art lends a particular significance to modern history of the region as well as being super rare (Singapore's national museum maintains copyright ownership and seldom allows commercial licensing of these artworks).
