The Springbank Distillery is one of the last remaining in Campbeltown, from its heyday of over 30 active distilleries producing quality whiskies in the 19th century. Located on the Kintyre Peninsula and drawing water from Crosshill Loch, Springbank is now owned by J & A Mitchell & Co. Springbank produces three core ranges, Springbank proper, which are usually medium peated; Longrow, a highly peated style, and Hazelburn, a triple-distilled, non-peated whisky.
An official bottling of Longrow, this was distilled in February 2004 and released 23rd of May for the distillery's Open Day during the 2019 Campbeltown Malts Festival. Matured 15 years in fresh rum casks, this is one of 911 bottles.
